A return to older days

This is my first attempt at headwear. I did have some guides to help me along the way, and I think it turned out very well. This will be for Pioneer Day on July 24th, but I'm not sure I can resist wearing it around much more frequently. What a great way to beat the Texas heat while gardening!

It looks very cute on you! And practical for keeping the sun off while gardening. I may have to consider something similar for the Australian summer heat!!

Hi Naomi, I just recently stumbled across a comment you left on my blog in June (and today is July 25th :( I'm very slow. I forget to check my other posts!! Sorry 'bout that. So now, I've come to check out your little corner of the world. I must say, I was looking at that pillow you recovered (the blue and brown one) and I LOVE it. And your family is so adorable. You look like life is treating you well. I'm so happy you "stopped by" :) I will have to frequent your blog more often...I love trying new recipes and that fruit salad sounds wonderful. I am going to make that for our pioneer celebration tonight!
